The software
LocalInbox is a mail app for macOS. It connects to mail accounts you add and runs on your Mac. macOS 15 or later. On-device AI features need macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence.
Free trial
You can use every feature free for 7 days from the first launch, without an account or a card. After the trial, the app asks for a licence key. Your mail stays on your mail provider, and nothing is deleted.
Your licence
- A licence is a one-time purchase. It lets you use LocalInbox on up to 3 Macs that you own or control, for as long as you like.
- It includes every 1.x update. A future major version (2.0) may be sold separately; the version you have keeps working.
- The licence is personal to you. You may not resell, share or publish your key.
- You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.
- Parts of the app are open-source software under their own licences, and those licences apply to those parts.
Buying and delivery
Licences are sold through Dodo Payments or Gumroad, who act as merchant of record. They process the payment, charge any applicable tax, and issue your receipt. Their terms of sale also apply to your purchase.
Prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars. The early-access price applies to the first 50 licences; after that, the regular price applies.
LocalInbox is delivered digitally. Your licence key is sent to your email address by the store right after payment, and the app downloads from this website. Nothing is shipped. If your key hasn't arrived within an hour, check your spam folder, then write to support@localinbox.app.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 7 days of buying. The refund policy page explains how. A refunded or charged-back licence stops working.
Your mail accounts
You are responsible for the mail accounts you add and for following your mail provider's terms. LocalInbox acts on your instructions: archiving, deleting or sending mail happens on your mail server. Deleting from Trash is permanent and asks you to confirm first.
AI features
Summaries, suggested replies, drafts and answers are generated by Apple's on-device model and can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before relying on them or sending them. Phishing warnings and sorting help you, but can't catch everything.
Updates and support
We aim to fix problems and keep LocalInbox working with current versions of macOS, and offer support by email at support@localinbox.app. We may change or remove features in updates.
No warranty
LocalInbox is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those the law requires, including that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. Keep your mail on your provider's servers; LocalInbox isn't a backup.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about LocalInbox is limited to the amount you paid for your licence, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or profits. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract.
Ending these terms
You can stop using LocalInbox at any time. If you break these terms, for example by sharing your key, we may disable your licence.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, without taking away the protection of consumer laws where you live.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date on this page shows the latest version, and it applies to purchases from then on. Questions: support@localinbox.app.
