LocalInbox is a native macOS app built in Swift, not a web page in a window. It has a menu bar inbox and quick compose from anywhere, Spotlight search for mail, Shortcuts actions, Focus filters that choose which accounts show, the Share menu, Contacts photos, Calendar and Reminders, an optional Touch ID lock, and keyboard shortcuts for everything.
Part of your Mac
- Menu bar item with unread mail, Mark as Read and Archive on hover, and New Message.
- Quick compose from anywhere with ⌃⌥⌘N.
- Spotlight finds your mail. Shortcuts actions: Get Unread Mail Count, New Message, Search Mail.
- A Focus filter chooses which accounts show and notify in each Focus.
- Share › LocalInbox starts a message from other apps. LocalInbox can be your default mail app.
- Contacts photos, Calendar invitations with Accept, Maybe and Decline, and an optional Touch ID lock.
Keyboard first
- ⌘K finds any message or action.
- Single keys for triage: J and K to move, E to archive, # to delete, R to reply, S to snooze.
- Every action undoes with ⌘Z.
Notifications that know what matters
- Mail from people alerts you; newsletters wait.
- Reply, Archive and Snooze from the notification. Sign-in codes have Copy Code.
- VIP senders, quiet hours, per-account and per-category settings.
- Spam and suspected phishing never notify.
